ABOUT US -

Today; Airbrushing, Pinstriping, Signs, Designs...  is what we're all about.
We hope to show case through this web site the multi- talents of Willy Fisher; Line of T-shirts, Art Cards, Motorcycle and Auto Graphics,  Recycling at it's best; furniture re-designs, functional art, Business logos, Signs, Banners and his latest abstract art.

We call  Moriarty, New Mexico home (about 40 East of Albuquerque) along with the new address comes a new style of art, and the new company name of Daddy-O Designs.

So when did this all begin?  I guess I'll start at the  beginning. My name  is Molly, I'm Willy's wife/business partner  and his number 1 all time fan.

In 1971 "Paint and Molding by Willy Fisher"  was printed on his first silk screened T-shirt and business card. Word of mouth was our best advertising. Back then bikes were completely molded and the paint jobs had lots of trick tape fades, and even 3D effects, Willy did it all. At the same time he  attended Junior College for advertising and design. What stuck was  "Design" that is what drives Willy. Take a look at any thing Willy has done, and you'll agree he has his own style his work it  just stands out, his lettering, his T-shirt designs, and the vehicles he builds? Check it out, you'll see what I'm talking about.

Custom Airbrushing; Enamels, and Automotive paints -
I remember when Willy bought his first airbrush back in 1971. Carter Sexton was the hot art store in North Hollywood at that time, Willy grilled the kat as to what is the best over all airbrush to use. Willy wanted one brush for both stencil work or free hand. The sales kat said, "There's only 1 airbrush, it's a Paasche". The Badger was also available, but was not as versatile. So Willy bought the double action Paasche VL, and to this day that is what he uses. 1-Shot is professional sign painter's graphic enamel, a number one choice for bright colors, and durability. Willy was introduced to 1-Shot in 1975, when Sherwin William's Graphic Arts enamel (another professional oil based enamel) could not be found. Before that he used a watered down Acrylic on T-shirts or Lacquers on cars and bikes. Now a days, lacquers are rather "old school" in the automotive industry, there are far better paints coming out everyday. Willy is finding that most of the painters he works with have a particular system, so he uses what they use. The best way to go.

Together we started Gemini Airbrush on the Bi-Centennial Weekend of 1976. Our very first show was in Burbank, California.  The airbrush was the tool of choice in '76. Really, man, what he could do with that brush? He painted on anything that would hold still... "From Birthday Cakes to Tennis Shoes" that was our motto. He really lived up to it.  There is a lot of livin' to talk about between then and now, a lot of good stuff to be left for the book. Looking back at those years of being, Gemini Airbrush (1976 to 1997),  we did a show almost every weekend.  An average of 40 shows a years which covered Rod and Kustom, Mini Truck, Truck, Van Runs, and a couple annual Bike events throughout California, Utah, Nevada and Arizona. Airbrushing personalized vehicles on T-shirts was the main gig, but Willy also painted some pretty cool quick signs of all kinds, from time to time a bed sheet banner and lettered a few  club windows at the event!

Specializing in American Hot Rod Designs-
It doesn't matter what Willy is working on, from the logo for Food Network's, Tricked Out Tailgating, to the new company logo for Midnight Impressions, a pinstriping job on a hot rod right down to T -shirt designs, what you can say about Willy Fisher style of art is that it's REAL COOL. He gets his inspirations from his past. He grow up in Southern California's San Fernando Valley, hung out at the famous San Fernando Drag strip, cruised Van Nuys Boulevard during the best days.  My Father-in-law owned and ran one of the first and largest body shops in Saugus, California. As a young teen, Willy put in hours lettering, and custom painting race cars and custom painting dash boards.

Computer Graphics-
The new line of Art Cards, some business logos and some T-shirt designs are being created these days on Willy's Apple Power book G4.
Free Hand Pinstriping
Willy has been putting his free hand pinstriping designs on the most usual things; cell phones, laptops, candles, coat racks, office doors, T-shirt designs and shop windows. At conventions his table is filled with lamps, dinner plates and on occasion saddle bags. Willy is proud to have been featured as one of the great artists in the Pinstriping Master's book.

Business Designs-
(SIGNS) , (TRUCK LETTERING), (T-SHIRTS)
Re-vamped corporate logos, Silk screen designs, Willy's banner designs are eye grabbing and award winning. Indoor information signs really stand out, outdoor signs are hand painted on plastics, or sign material.  Banners are painted on top quality heavy weight vinyl.

Functional Art

Mirrors, coat racks, tables, lamps, re-vamped vintage furniture, custom made Willy Fisher designed tables, always unique, always one of a kind.

Commercial Designs

Licensed designs and free-lance services too.

Original Art-  (ART FOR SALE)

Willy's unique wall hangings are on going, regardless of what else he is doing, he continues to make these really kool pieces. Made from a sign board material, the designs are his, each piece is sketched out on his sign board, he uses a jig saw to meticulously cut the outer shape, hand sanded primed then hand painted, airbrushed, pinstriped, custom painted, and finally clear coated. Generally it takes Willy 5 days per piece, depending on the size and content. His wall hangings have found homes all over the world, from private collectors to Tattoo Shops.
